It derives from W3C director Tim Berners-Lee’s vision of the Web as a universal medium for data, information, and knowledge exchange.
In other words, we aim to focus on this emerging technology which acts as an evolving extension of the WWW and defines the meaning of information and services to a degree in which it can satisfy the requests of people and machines which attempts to use the content derived from the web.
